Covermate – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Covermate website and the Covermate Insurance Translator tool ("the Tool"). By ticking "I agree" or otherwise using the Tool, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Tool.

1. Purpose of the Tool

• •The Tool provides general information and analysis of insurance policy wording.

• •It is intended for educational and informational purposes only.

• •It is not a substitute for professional advice and must not be relied upon to make legal, financial, or insurance decisions.

2. No Financial or Legal Advice

• •Covermate is not licensed under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) to provide financial services.

• •We do not provide financial product advice, legal advice, or insurance broking services.

• •Any outputs generated by the Tool are general in nature and do not take into account your personal circumstances.

3. User Acknowledgements

By using the Tool, you confirm that you:

• •Understand that outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or not applicable to your situation.

• •Accept full responsibility for any actions or decisions you take based on the Tool's outputs.

• •Will seek independent advice from a qualified professional before making decisions about your insurance or financial matters.

4. No Guarantee of Accuracy

• •The Tool uses automated AI processes and may not interpret insurance wording correctly.

• •We make no representation that outputs are accurate, complete, or up to date.

5. Limitation of Liability

• •To the fullest extent permitted by law, Covermate, its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense (including consequential or indirect loss) arising out of your use of the Tool or reliance on its outputs.

• •Australian Consumer Law carve-out: Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the ACL that cannot be excluded by law.

6. Intellectual Property

• •The Tool, website, content, and branding are the property of Covermate (or its licensors).

• •You must not reproduce, copy, or use these without permission.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Tool is subject to our Privacy Policy.

8. Governing Law

• •These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

• •Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.

9. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
